How To Find Serial Number For Replacement Tarp Of Extang Tonneau Cover On 2008 Ram 1500 Short Bed

I need a replacement cover for 2008 ram 1500 4 door short bed.My cover only has snaps on 3 sides the cab rail has a slot with a round key way that the cover sides into.Is something like that still available?Let me know if you need a picture and Ill send one. older style extang cover

I am happy to determine the replacement cover for you but I would need the serial number off of your older Extang cover. The easiest way is to locate the serial number. Most of the time the serial number can be found on the driver's side front rail. It would also be very helpful if you can find a date code on the rail but not necessary. I have attached a photo of what the serial number normally looks like.

It sounds like you may have the Extang BlackMax Soft Tonneau Cover - Snap On part # EX2770 on the 2008 Ram 1500 Short bed, if you do the replacement cover is # EX1770 but I want to be sure so I can find you the correct replacement tarp. So please locate either the serial number or the model number and let me know.
