Want to make sure you don't hit anything when you're backing up? Or perhaps you're concerned about minimizing blind spots when someone is speeding past you on a busy road? This monitor replaces the rearview mirror of your pickup truck, larger RV, or longer van and displays footage from up to 3 Voyager wired cameras (sold separately). This means that you'll have peace of mind that you'll be able to back up safely or keep an eye on the sides of your vehicle while driving in heavy traffic.
When the monitor is off, the reflective glass can be used as a rearview mirror. It's quite darker than your typical rearview mirror, but it will work in a pinch.
Tired of yelling back and forth to your partner out the window as you're struggling to back up at a good angle? When connected to a backup camera with a built-in microphone, the monitor has an integrated speaker that allows a spotter to relay information or instructions to you from outside your truck. This makes it much easier and safer for you to hook up to your trailer.
This monitor directly replaces the existing factory rearview mirror of your pickup truck, larger RV, or longer van with the included metal bracket, wiring harness, and mounting screws. Minimal drilling may be required if your vehicle doesn't already have holes for passing camera cables through.
Use the black and red wires to connect to ground and power, and then make the connections to any cameras you want to hook up to the monitor. If you want the cameras to automatically appear when you reverse or activate a blinker, connect the blue, green, and brown trigger wires to the reverse lights and turn signals. And if you're not using the trigger wires, hook up to your running lights or your battery, and the control buttons will let you manually change camera feeds.

Today, we'll be taking a look at the Voyager Rear View Mirror with Monitor. Now this is going to be a replacement for the factory mirror in your vehicle. It's going to offer a nice, large seven-inch screen. So that's going from the diagonal down, that's seven inches. And this is going to work with up to three cameras. So you can have it wired in for a reverse camera, and then maybe two on the sides if you're using this on an RV, especially, or a larger van, or anything like that.
Let's see: measures seven inches there. And we'll be able to turn our monitor on, we have our menu selection, up and down arrows here, so we can make all of our changes and do all of our settings from the display itself. It's a TFT LCD color monitor, and again, it does replace your rear view mirror. It does have a reflective surface, so you can kind of use this as a rear view mirror on its own, but really you probably should just have the reverse camera as your rear view mirror function. Because it is reflective, but it's kind of hard to see. It's sort of like whenever you flip your rear view mirror into that sort of darkened mode, like whenever you've got headlights coming at you, you can flip it.
That's kind of what this looks like.Well, we'll have our wiring bundle, so we can connect into our plug there at the end, and then we'll have the rest of our wires coming out. So we'll have a blue wire, a green wire, and a brown wire. These are going to be our triggers, so we'll run these to the power for what we want to have them trigger to. So if camera one, which is the blue wire, is our reverse signal, we'd want to run this to our reverse signal on our vehicle. That way, whenever you throw your vehicle into reverse, that's going to trigger that camera to come on.
Same thing with the other two. If we have our camera three on the passenger side, we can wire this into our passenger side turn signal, and our brown wire into our driver's side turn signal as well. So that way, whenever you're making a turn, that camera is automatically going to come on.Then the other two wires will be our power and ground, just our basic connections to make sure the circuit is complete. Get it untangled here. So black goes to ground, red goes to power, and in line with that red wire, we'll have our fuse to keep everything protected.
It is a 5 amp fuse that's provided there. Has a little cap to go over the top, keeps that protected. And then our three remaining wires, these are going to be the connections for the actual cameras. Now, the length here is probably not going to be enough to get to your cameras itself. There are extensions sold separately. You can find those here at etrailer.com, as well as the cameras to plug everything up.Now it's recommended that you replace your rear view mirrors for your Ford, GM, or Dodge Sprinter, that's kind of what this is designed to fit with. It is compatible with all PAL and NTC format types, and it does have a built-in speaker, so we'll be able to hear if anybody's helping direct us into our parking spot, or if there's anybody behind who shouts, "Hey. Stop. I'm back here," and we might not be looking in our mirror. We'll be able to actually hear them through that speaker there. As far as the dimensions overall with our monitor, it's about 10 inches long, a little over 10 inches, about 10-1/16", and then it's 4-3/4" tall, and about 1-1/4" deep. Has that little stand on there, stands out about 3-1/4" inches. Screen size, again, is seven inches. It has an aspect ratio of 16:9. Our viewing angles will be 40 degrees for the top, 60 degrees for the bottom, and 60 for horizontal. The overall operating voltage range is 12 volts DC, and this will work from -14 degrees Fahrenheit up to 158 degrees Fahrenheit. It has a storage temperature range of -22 degrees Fahrenheit and 176 degrees Fahrenheit. It does come with a one-year warranty from Voyager. And that's going to do it for our look at the Voyager Rear View Mirror with Monitor.
