Will Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Brake Controller Fit 2016 Toyota 4Runner
Question:
I am attempting to purchase a tow pro elite brake controller. I would like to verify that the following will indeed fit my vehicle. The vehicle is a 2016 Toyota 4 runner SR5. RED44FR This item states “ THIS ITEM IS NOT A FIT FOR 2016 Toyota 4Runner,” however whenever I click on the button to find specific items for this vehicle the same RED44FR comes back up. Also RED49FR which says that it is indeed compatible. Also 331-TPSI-002 which is supposed to be specific for my vehicle. There is another part number for the tow pro elite on another page in your website. Any help would be greatly appreciated because I would like to purchase these items today. Thanks for your help.

The Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Brake Controller # RED44FR definitely works with your 2016 Toyota 4Runner. Sometimes our guide can get confusing. This is likely showing not a fit because you're looking at the product page without the plug and play wiring harness. Regardless of that it fits.
The Plug-and-Play Wiring Harness # RED49FR will plug into the port beneath your dash if you have the factory tow package. I'm assuming you do have the tow package and a 7-way on your vehicle. Also yes, you can use the Mounting Panel # 331-TPSI-002 to replace one of the knock outs in your dash, giving it a factory look.
I have attached some installation videos for your reference.
