How Much Space Is There Between The MaxxFan Deluxe Lid Overhang And Roof Of The Trailer
Question:
Hi there, hope the picture is clear. Gee, there are many questions and answers, but couldnt find the one I look for. How many mm/millimeters are there in between the overhanging and the roof? The overhang will be over a tiny corner area of a very thin solar panel. Kindest regards

The lid of a MaxxFan Deluxe like # MA00-07500K is going to sit approximately 15mm (5/8") above the roof of the RV. There can be a bit of difference with this depending on the curvature of the roof so I measured from where the flange would sit when it's fully mounted.
If this doesn't work for your setup then I recommend the MaxxFan Mini Plus Manual RV Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan - LED Light - Black # MA00-03851 in its place since it has no overhang but still has a rain shield cover. I actually had to swap out a Deluxe for one of these on a trailer I was working on because there wasn't enough room for the overhang to not interfere with other items on the roof.
I've attached installation videos of both of these vents below to help walk you through the process. I highly recommend picking up our installation kit # 344270KITW as well so you have everything you need for a waterproof seal.
