What is Needed to Add Curt Brake Controller to 2010 Acura MDX
Question:
Hello. I have a 2010 acura mdx with after market hitch and no wiring. I want to have a 7 pin RV connection and a 4 pin flat connection. Is getting a Curt C51110 brake controller and an etrailer ETBC7. Is that all I need?

You're on the right track; to add the Curt brake controller to your 2010 Acura MDX you'll need to add the 4-way as well as 7-way that comes with the # ETBC7. You will first install the 4-flat, which will activate your trailer's lighting functions, and you'll then plug that into the 7-way that comes with the # ETBC7, which also gives you the wiring, circuit breakers, and rest of the hardware needed for installation. The exact parts you need are the following:
- Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C56038
- Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7
- Curt Venturer NEXT Trailer Brake Controller # C74VV
- Wiring Adapter for Curt Trailer Brake Controllers # C51515
