Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution Hitch For 2019 Yukon Denali XL Towing 34 Foot Forest River Flagstaff
Question:
I need a equalizer hitch for my 2019 Yukon Danali XL. I bought a cheap one from Harbour Freight, but the 7 3/8 is not enough and it sways quite a bit. I would say it still needs about at least another 3-4 inches of drop. The Danali sits up pretty high in the rear and the trailer does not sit even. The trailer is a 34ft Forrest River Flagstaff. 8300lbs and 830lbs TW. According to the sticker on the hitch with a weight distributing hitch it will tow up to 10,000lbs and 1000lb TW

I recommend the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution # EQ37101ET for your 2019 GMC Yukon XL Denali hauling a Forest River Flagstaff weighing 8,300lbs with 830lbs of tongue weight. This hitch is rated for a trailer up to 10,000lbs with a tongue weight of 600-1,000lbs. It does not include a shank so you will be able to find a shank with the correct amount of drop from the list below.
1/4" to 4" of Drop # EQ90-02-4200
2-1/4" to 6" of Drop # EQ90-02-4300
5-1/4" to 9" of Drop # EQ90-02-4400
8-1/4" to 12" of Drop # EQ44FR
The Equal-i-zer is far superior to your Harbor Freight as it was only designed to distribute the weight and has no sway control. The Equal-i-zer has 4-point sway control built into the hitch to help keep the trailer tracking straight. You will need a 1-7/8" 12pt Thin Walled Socket # ALL643216 to install the included 2-5/16" hitch ball onto the hitch head.
