Parts Need to Add Redarc Liberty Brake Controller to 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan
Question:
Hi. Im looking at adding a brake controller to my 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan. Right now I just have the 4 wire flat plug on there. So I need to install the 7 wire plug and controller. I just want to make sure I am purchasing all that I need. I am looking at the Redarc Liberty controller part #RED24FR. And Im guessing I need to get the one that includes the universal wiring harness part #RED69FR? And then I think I will need the installation kit for the 7 way plug part #ETBC7. Are these the right parts for my vehicle? And is this everything I should need to complete my installation? Thank you so much for your help!

You're 100% on point with what you need; since your 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan already has the 4-way like # C56331 installed, the only other things you need are the brake controller, wiring adapter, and 7-way, which are indeed the parts you mentioned:
- Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7
- Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller # RED24FR
- Universal Wiring Harness for Redarc Tow-Pro Trailer Brake Controllers # RED69FR
The # ETBC7 comes with the 7-way and rest of the hardware needed for the installation, and you made a really nice choice with the Liberty. Not only is it easy to use with its knob to control the braking power, but it's also out of the way so you don't have a chunky controller taking up space under your dash.
