Is Bulldog Winch Trailer Winch Housing Constructed of Steel Or Cast Aluminum

Question:

Is the case holding the wire drum that bolts to the plate on trailer steel or cast aluminum? I tried a Badland 12k winch to pull a rolling F-150 onto my trailer and the housing broke.

The Bulldog Winch Trailer Winch # BDW10039 has a black powder coated steel body. The motor housing, gearbox, gear train, rollers, and mounting plate all have a steel construction so you can be confident this will not break like your Badland 12k.
