Can Firestone Air Command Compressor System Be Wired to Ignition Source

Question:

2022 Silverado 3500HD Duramax 4X4 Crew Long Bed Would it be better to connect the red power wire to a fuse panel terminal that comes on when the ignition is on rather than to the battery where it has power on all the time? If connecting to the ignition does this have a memory function that allows the compressor to turn with the ignition allowing the bags to inflat to a preset number, or do you have to check them each time making sure they have some air in them?

In regards to the Air Command Compressor System part # F2610, the red wire will be attached directly to the positive battery terminal and the black wire will be attached directly to the negative battery terminal. There is also a yellow wire which can be used on a keyed ignition source. If this wire is hooked up to such, it will allow the system to turn on only when you turn the ignition on as opposed to being available at all times regardless of the ignition. The yellow wire is not required but can be hooked up if desired.

In regards to pre-set pressures, this won't happen automatically no matter which way it's wired, you would need to power the system on and then select the desired memory feature you have saved to inflate the system to a set psi. The system will however run a quick check when it receives power so you may hear the compressor run when you start the vehicle on or wake the system up with the app.
