Why Does the Firestone Air Compressor Cycle On and Off After Starting My Truck

why is this doing this the dealer tells me this normal

I spoke to Firestone and the cycling is completely normal. The systems will run an internal diagnostic to make sure everything is running properly and is also checking the last pressure when the ignition was off to the current pressure. They did also mention that if you have a wireless system like the Firestone # F2610, the diagnostic cycle will send you alerts if anything is not running properly.
