Yellow Ignition Wire Used In Firestone Air Command Compressor System W/ Light Duty Compressor

Question:

One of your techs told a user to hook up the yellow ignition wire so the system doesn’t drain your battery.......another told a user it is not needed.and the system will shut off with the ignition....I am hoping to install this system to shut off completely when the ignition is off....do I need to use the yellow wire or not? Thank you

For your 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 you will need to use the yellow wire in the Air Command Compressor System w/ Light Duty Compressor # F2610. That way it will be on when the ignition is switched on, and off when the ignition is switched off. If you did not do it this way, it would run with the truck turned off, if the air pressure in the bags fell below a specified preset which would drain your battery.
