Will Dexter E-Z Flex Equalizer Kit for Tandem Axle Trailer Work with 2-3/4" Shackles
Question:
Can this kit be used on my 2015 tandem axle ez loader boat trailer with standard shackles? I would like to use these to upgrade my 6” equalizers but they don’t make a kit with my 2 3/4” center to center shackles. I also have not been able to find a heavy duty set separately. Do you think these equalizers will work with standard shackles and a wet bolt kit upgrade?

The Dexter E-Z Flex Equalizer Kit - Double-Eye Springs part # K71-654-00 will allow you to still upgrade the equalizers on the trailer without changing out the shackle straps as well. These are the same width as the existing equalizers so you can reuse your old hardware and shackle straps.
Please note, there are bronze bushings inside the Dexter E-Z Flex Equalizers so you'll want to make sure you use wet bolts with these bronze bushings, the Wet Equalizer Bolt part # 126B2. If you want to upgrade the rest of the bushings as well from nylon to bronze you can use the Bronze Bushing part # D014-077-00.
