Replacement Hydraulic Drum Brakes for a 1999 Seadoo Trailer

Question:

I need new pistons for my brakes and pads too, looking at the entire assembly, it would not hurt to replace, looks original from 1999 in Florida salt water. I have these brake plates in my cart but I am not 100 sure these are right. I measured my drums and they are 10inch diameter and 2 1/4inch deep leaning more towards 2 1/5. Just want to make sure I have the right product before I order. Thanks for the help.

Check the mounting pattern of the brakes you have now. The Demco brakes, # 40715, mount on a 4 bolt mounting flange with the holes 4 inches apart on center side to side. The surface of the drum where the pads tough is likely to be 2-1/4 inches, especially if you have 13 to 15 inch wheels.

In the 10 inch hydraulic brakes you are pretty much limited to 10 x 2-1/4 so its a safe bet that these are correct. The matching left hand side brake is # 40716. If you need additional hardware use # 6-17 for the nut, # 5-8 for the lock washer, and # 7-75 for the mounting bolt. You would need a total of 8 of each of these hardware items for 2 brake assemblies.
