Determining Fitment Of The Stromberg Carlson RV Ladder On A Thor Compass Motorhome
Question:
Would the Stromberg Carlson exterior ladder LA-401 fit the Thor Compass at the bumper see picture. Can you cut the lower J section of the ladder where it attaches to the bumper as it would need to have a shorter standoff than the 5 inches?

Expert Reply:
The Stromberg Carlson Exterior RV Ladder # LA-401BA is 99-1/2" from the top of the railing to the very bottom "J-section". This ladder is split up into two parts with a hinge in the middle to connect them together. You can cut from either section, or both, to get the height to the right spot for your specific needs and then use the hinges to secure them together.
You'll want to measure your motorhome to determine the correct height and maybe reach out to Thor and see if they'll give you a dimensional drawing of where the studs are in the back wall to make installation way easier.
