I looked up a copy of the owner's manual for your 2017 Fiat 500 online and it looks like you can flat tow your Fiat as long as it has a manual transmission otherwise a tow dolly must be used. Let me know if this is the case and I can make a recommendation for you.

To choose the correct tow bar you first need a base plate kit. I recommend going with a Blue Ox kit like part # BX2805 if you have an Abarth or the kit # BX2801 if you have the Lounge or Pop. Once the base plate kit is installed then you can use a tow bar like the Blue Ox Alpha # BX7380 which comes with safety cables rated for 6,500 lbs.

A complete flat towing setup includes the base plate kit, tow bar, safety cables, vehicle tow bar wiring, a supplemental braking system, and typically a high-low adapter.

For wiring I recommend the Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267 because after the initial installation it is simply a matter of plugging in the adapter from your Fiat to the 7-Way on your motorhome for the lights to be activated.

Since most states now require the use of a braking system it is a good idea to have one. We recommend going with one anyways as it makes your whole flat towing setup much more safe and reduces wear on your motorhome and Fiat. If you plan on flat towing frequently then I recommend installing a permanent system like the SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO # SM99251, but if you only plan on flat towing every now and again I recommend the Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR.

To keep your tow bar level, most flat towing setups use a high-low adapter. I have linked our selection for you to filter through as well as a helpful article for you to reference.
