Can I Carry a 63LB E-Bike and a 25LB Bike With my 2022 Honda Civic?
Question:
Will this be strong enough to carry a hollywood HR1700 bike rack with 1 e bikeabout 63 lbs without battery and 1 specialized bike about 25 lbs. I know I need a 1 1/4 in to 2 inch adapter for bike rack. Just wondering if it is strong enough before buying Draw-Tite hitch?

With having a 63lb e-bike you will need to use the Thule EasyFold XT Bike Rack # TH903202 with the Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver # 24954 on your 2022 Honda Civic. The Hollywood Racks HR1700 # HLY64FR bike rack cannot be used with a 1-1/4" to 2" adapter per the manufacturer.
The Thule EasyFold XT # TH903202 will fit into your 1-1/4" class I receiver without a extender. This will ensure you do not reduce the weight capacity 50% on your receiver by using a extender. With the weight of the carrier being 45lbs and the weight of your bikes(63lbs and 25lbs) for a total of 133lbs which is below the 200lb capacity of the Draw-Tite Receiver # 24954 makes it safe to tow.
