Best Hitch Curt or etrailer for a 2023 Subaru Outback
Question:
What is the difference between the etrailer and Curt Hitches for a 2023 Subaru Outback? Which is going to be the best one for my car?

Both the Curt item # C67JR and the etrailer item # e25TR are confirmed to fit the 2023 Subaru Outback. These hitches are identical with the exception that the etrailer hitch has a matte black powder coat finish that offers superior rust protection. Both hitches are made in the USA and weigh 30 lbs.
The best hitch for your Outback is going to be the etrailer Hitch item # e25TR. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your Subaru with included hardware. They both have the same installation method and towing capacity but this one will look better when installed and save you some money.
I really like the etrailer hitch because it installs behind your rear bumper and the crossbar is completely hidden. This is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver. It has a 3,500 lbs towing capacity, and a 350 lbs maximum tongue weight.
I have linked a couple of pictures below of each hitch along with some installation videos so you can see what these hitches look like when installed.
If you are planning on towing you will also need a wiring harness item # 118467 and a ball mount kit item # C45534.
