Does Stealth Hitches Trailer Hitch For A 2023 BMW X5 Require Bumper Trimming
Question:
I just purchased a new 2023 BMW X5 and I am interested in purchasing a Stealth Hitch to haul my 2 inch bike rack that I already own. Does the Stealth Hitch require bumper trimming? Please advice.

When installing The Stealth Hitch # SH89VR onto your 2023 BMW X5 there is no type of fascia or bumper trimming needed in order to install it. The bumper and fascia will remain intact, but there is a small piece that is underneath your vehicle that you will need to trim. The rock/gravel guard that is located underneath your BMW will need a portion of it trimmed in order to install the hitch. I will attach a picture below with a red arrow pointing to what needs to be trimmed. Ignore the yellow circles in the picture, they have nothing to do with the trimming.
The Stealth Hitch # SH89VR has a maximum tongue weight of 600 pounds so you will have no issues with hauling your 2 inch bike. This hitch is only for hitch-mounted accessories only. If you ever plan on towing a trailer you will need to also invest in The Towing Kit w/ Ball Mount and Trailer Wiring # SH58VR. Using this upgrade will allow for you to tow a trailer if you ever need to.
I linked an installation video below on the Stealth Hitch being installed onto a 2022 BMW X5. The installation process will be the same for your 2023 BMW X5. If you have any further questions please feel free to reach back out to me anytime and I will be more than happy to further assist you in your towing endeavors.
