Options For Cracked Receiver Tube On a 2013 Ford F-150 With Factory Receiver

Question:

2013 f-150 came with factory hitch...square receiver cracked.. what are my options? Tow 6500lb empty travel trailer with load levelers. My installer ordered the torklift super hero...can I use the c-13903 instead? Will the tork be too low being added to the original hitch? He thought that holes on Fram might not work with after market.

Currently the TorkLift SuperHitch Hero Trailer Hitch Receiver # TLF1005H is our only receiver compatible with a 2013 Ford F-150 which came with a factory receiver. The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver C-13903 will only fit trucks which did not come with a factory receiver. Do note the TorkLift will only fit a factory hitch rated to 10,500 lbs; it does not fit vehicles with factory hitches rated to 11,500 lbs.

If the rest of the factory hitch is in good shape and the receiver cracked is the only damage you can consider having a welding shop replace the Receiver Tube # 337RT25806. This will allow you to keep the factory receiver and not loose any of the ground clearance.
