Parts Needed to Add a 7-Way Connector to 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Without Factory Tow Package

In regards to this link: http://www.etrailer.com/question-58352.html Does this apply as well to a 2012 model Jeep Wrangler Unlimited? I have a vehicle that came without a towing package and I am looking to add the 7 way connector.

I have everything you need to install a 7-way trailer connector on your 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited without the factory tow package, however, the Hopkins Endurance Quick-Install 7-Way Connector, # HM42190, will not fit because it was designed for vehicles with a factory tow package. The previous question that you referenced is about a 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with the factory tow package.
To install a 7-way trailer connector on your Jeep, you will first need to install a 4-flat trailer connector. For this, I recommend installing the Tow Ready T-One Wire Harness, # 118416. This is a plug-in style harness that plugs into the connectors behind the drivers side tail light. I have attached the installation instructions and an installation video for you to check out.
Next, you will want to add a 4-way to 7-way adapter. For this, I recommend using our Universal 4-way and 7-way Install Kit, # ETBC7. This kit comes with all of the necessary wiring and hardware to install a 7-way trailer connector. It also comes with all of the wiring necessary to install a brake controller. I have attached an installation video of this kit for you to check out as well.
If you are also in the market for a brake controller, then I recommend picking up the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller, # 90885, that is referenced in the ETBC7 installation video. This is one of the most popular brake controllers on the market.
