It sounds like you want a specific "yes" or "no" for if your 2014 Ram 2500 short bed with a lift and large tires can tow a 5th wheel trailer, and it isn't quite that simple. Can you? Yes. Will it be difficult to be totally level? Yes it will. But it depends on the trailer and there isn't a set number for a height that is a cut-off point for if you can or cannot tow.

The only thing I can offer is how to optimize for getting as level as possible, and that starts with the hitch. You'll have to have a hitch with an underbed mounting system to avoid the added height that bed rails give you, and the only option for that on your 2014 Ram 2500 short bed is from B&W:

- B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider # BWRVK3400-5W

- Custom Underbed Installation Kit # BWGNRK1384-5W

It is also a near certainty you will need to lift the trailer with an over/under kit which moves the trailer's leaf springs to the top of its axle and lifts the trailer approximately the same amount as the axle's diameter plus the height of the leaf spring pack. For a 2-3/8" round axle (typical 3,500 lb axles) you would need Dexter Trailer Springs Over-Under Conversion Kit # K71-384-00 or for a 3" round axle (typical 5,200 lb - 7,000 lb axles) you would need Dexter Trailer Springs Over-Under Conversion Kit # K71-385-00.

You'd also need a 5th wheel wiring harness, the Pollak 5th Wheel / Gooseneck T-Connector # PK11893-11932.
