Can 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz Use Weight Distribution Hitch
Question:
I have a weight Distribution hitch from Hobor fright and Sway control bar also. I have the 5000 rated Santa Cruz! Do I need to use my weight Distribution hitch to pull my 4000 lb 19 foot travel trailer

Expert Reply:
You should not use a weight distribution hitch with your 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz because the hitch that fits it - the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C23WR - is not rated for use with weight distribution.
What you can use instead - and it is not required but I do recommend it for stability - is friction sway control, which will work so long as your trailer does NOT have hydraulic surge brakes:
- Reese Friction Sway Control Kit # 83660
You will also need the Reese Sway-Control Bracket for 2" Ball Mounts # RP26003.
Even if it isn't a requirement for towing, sway control is always a good idea for safety, stability, and comfort.
