Swing Away E-Bike Rack Solution for 74 lb E-Bike
Question:
Hi! We have an e-bike that weighs 74 lbs. without the battery and another that weighs 45 lbs. without the battery. Is there a model like the #RKY10002 that fully swings out that will accommodate these two bikes? Is the maximum weight per bike for the #RKY10002 truly 60 lbs. or is it 120 lbs. total for both the bikes combined in our case the weight of our bikes combined, without batteries, is 119? Thanks for your help.

Expert Reply:
Since you have a heavier e-bike at 74 lbs you'd need our e-bike rack with the highest weight rating of 80 lbs per bike with the Hollywood Racks RV Rider part # HLY64FR and then to allow it to pivot out and away from the vehicle you'd need the Yakima BackSwing Swing Away Hitch Extender # Y02483 and you'd be set.
The RockyMounts bike rack you mentioned does not have weight capacity for the bikes you mentioned.
