How to Hook Up Black Wire on Roadmaster FuseMaster Fuse Bypass Switch
Question:
I just installed the rm76517 fuse bypass on my 2016 equinox as per the video and instructions. the large black wire is hot no matter what position the switch is in.

In regards to the Roadmaster FuseMaster Fuse Bypass Switch part # RM-76517, the black wire goes to the cold side of the fuse which is the one that only has power while the circuit is active. Therefore, the black wire should only be powered while the vehicle is in acc or running. In order to determine which side of the fuse is the cold side, you'll need to have someone in the vehicle turn it on while you're using a circuit tester on the two terminals.
