Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at a boat handrail. This marine handrail provides a secure grip to help you get into or out of the water. Using this helps you lower yourself from your boat's platform, or pull yourself back up onto the deck. When it comes to the finishing, we're looking at electro-polish 316 stainless steel. It's a very strong and durable, and extremely corrosion resistant. It's also a flush mount design, so once it's installed there's no visible signs of the mounting hardware.
That offers a really nice clean look.The rail mounts directly into the boat deck with the included hardware, so the studs are already installed onto the handrail. Then you have the flat washers and the installation nuts. A few measurements to go over with you real quick. The distance we have between the studs, center on center, measures 12 inches. The actual diameter of the bar, that's this area here, that's three quarters of an inch.
The mounting studs have a diameter of five-sixteenths of an inches, and a length of two and three-eights inches.Once installed, you'll have about an inch and a half of space between the installation surface and the bottom of the handle, so plenty of room right there to get your hand in there. I did take a measurement overall, outside edge to outside edge and got thirteen and one quarter inches. Once installed, the overall depth of the unit, or height is two and five-sixteenths inches. That's how far it sticks out from the installation surface.That's going to do it for today's look at the boat handrail.
