Hey guys, it's Randy here at etrailer. Today we're taking a look at the replacement plug for your Fisher or for your Western plow. This is what we have, it's from Sam and it's gonna be an exact copy of the plug, so if this is damaged, it gets a bunch of corrosion in there. We have issues like that. We'll just pull this back and we wanna cut it about an inch or two from our original plug and then all of our wire colors are gonna match up. The butt connectors are already here, so we'll just strip our wires here, get it clamped on or crimped on there and we'll be in good shape.
You can see inside here, we've got the exact copy of the plug so we know it's gonna work. All of our functions are gonna be appropriate and it will come with dye electric grease so you can fill in here, prevent the dirt and the sand from getting in there holding moisture and causing corrosion.Now the only thing I see in this whole set up that can be improved is in our butt connector area here. Now these are constantly gonna be exposed to the elements. Most people don't store clouds inside. And with that being the case, I would switch these out for heat shrink butt connectors.
We got one, two, three, four, five, six, seven red for a heat shrink. That part number is DW05743. And we've got two blues. That part number is DW05744. By using a heat shrink butt connector, not only do we get the same benefit of a butt connector connecting our two wires, but we're able to shrink the connector down around the wire, sealing it up so no moisture could get inside.
And that'll complete our look at the replacement plow harness kit for the Fisher and Western snowplows.

Seems to be a great direct match to my old plow connections. Working on installation, all the wires were direct match which I was concerned that they would not be since my plow is fairly old. All good and hope to see the plow spring back to life once the install of both sides are complete. Thank you.
