Parts Needed to Add Electric Brakes to Aluma 7210H Trailer with 3,500 lb Axle

Question:

I have an Aluma 7210H trailer, that comes with a Lippert 3500 lb torsion axle. Ive upgraded to 15x6inch wheels. Which of your electric brake kits will work for this application. Is there anything else I would need other than the electric brake kit?

In addition to the 10" Electric Trailer Brake Kit # AKEBRK-35-SA you need the Mounting Hardware # BRKH10B and 2 of the Easy Grease Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly # AKHD-545-35-EZ-K per brake kit. It's also a good idea to make sure your axle has brake mounting flanges with a 4-bolt pattern as that's what the brakes will install on.

If your Aluma 7210H trailer didn't come with brakes initially then you'll likely need to add a 7-Way connector, run the wiring for the brakes, and add a breakaway battery kit as well.

For these parts I recommend the etrailer Trailer Wiring 7-Way Upgrade Kit w/ Junction Box # HS381-9000, 10 Gauge Wire # 10-1-1 (sold by the foot) with Butt Connectors # DW05745-10, and then the Hopkins Engager Push-To-Test Trailer Breakaway Kit # 20400.
