Recommended Trailer for a 16ft inflatable Fishskiff Boat

Question:

I plan to use this trailer for SeaEagle inflatable fishskiff-16 that has a length of 12.5ft from bow-eye to transom total length from tip of bow to back of the boat is 16ft. The overall width is 54 inches. The flat bottom width is 48inches wide. As you can see the crossbar for MPG 464-LB is much wider that the boat width. DO I have other option to shorten the cross bar? or maybe another trailer more suitable? Is there a suitable trailer for the SeaEagle?

I have a solution for you but the CE Smith Multi Sport Plus Boat and Kayak Trailer item # CE48870 is not suitable for your 16' SeaEagle Inflatable Fishskiff. That trailer can only carry a boat up to 14' and as you pointed at it is quite a bit more narrow.

I recommend the Malone MegaSport Kayak Trailer item # MPG535. This trailer can handle boats up to 20' long and has 86" wide crossbars. I have linked a review video below.

You will want to add the Bunk Kit for Malone Trailers item # MPG561. This kit will allow you to add a set of bunks wherever you need to on the crossbars to accommodate the 48" width of the bottom of your boat.

To add a winch to this trailer you will want the item # CE31013G. The stand is made of 12 gauge steel and measures 30" tall. It has 14 mounting holes and fits a 2" wide trailer frame. It will work great with the MaxxTow MaxxHaul Hand Winch item # MT50156.
