From the face to the very back of the receiver tube on the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # DT45509 is 10". From the face to the middle of the hitch pin hole is about 2" so you'll have about 8" of real estate from the hitch pin hole to the back of the receiver.
The tube is open at the back so if the concern was your accessory making contact with the back of the receiver then you'll be good to go!
