Should Prodigy P3 Brake Controller Show Low Voltage When Testing
Question:
I have a P3 Trailer Brake Controller. I havent been able to get the brakes to work. When I measure the brake output voltage I get 2.2 with the power up at 14. I get around 1 when I set the power at 6. Is this normal?

Are you using the manual override to test this? If so, then it would not be normal to see such low voltage. If you are testing with someone just pressing the brake it would be normal for the Prodigy P3 # 90195 to show low voltage since it's a proportional controller that needs to sense movement to send more voltage than that.
I also attached a help article that covers troubleshooting brake controllers for you to check out as well.
