Question:

I want to be able to tow my 2022 Wagoneer behind my Winnebago Journey. What all will I need to accomplish this? I'm not sure if I will be able to pull it as I do not have tow hooks on the front.

First you will need the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM46RR to bolt to the front of your 2022 Jeep Wagoneer. This kit specifically fits on Wagoneer's that do not have tow hooks. Then you will be able to connect it to your Winnebago Journey with a Roadmaster Nighthawk All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar # RM-676. This tow bar has a capacity rating of 8,000lbs and includes lights on the tow bars that will make it much easier to see what you are doing in the dark. You may end up needing a High-Low adapter like the 4" # RM-048-4 if your tow bars are not within 3" of level from your motorhome to the front of your Wagoneer. With the base plate installed it had a height of 23" for the mounts. You can compare this to the height of your motorhome receiver but do note that your baseplate height may vary slightly depending on trim and tire size.

For the electrical side you will need the RoadMaster Nighthawk All Terrain Towing Combo Kit # RM-9284-2 and Charge Line Kit # RM-156-25. The combo kit will supply you with the wiring needed for the tail lights and other accessories for your tow bars while the charge line kit will maintain your vehicle battery as it still supplies power to the Wagoneer and is needed to power the Demco Air Force One Supplemental Braking System # DM26VR. The braking system will activate the brakes on your Wagoneer when you use the air brakes on your Journey. An air line is run from the back of your Journey to your Wagoneer and the kit supplies you with an in cab monitor so you will be able to monitor when the brakes are activated.
