Mounting Yakima LockNLoad # Y05049 Directly to Factory Tracks on 2017 Mercedes Sprinter 2500

Question:

Hi, 2017 Mercedes Sprinter Van 2500 high roof 144wb. OEM roof track. I would like to mount the Lock n Load directly to the skyline towers, no crossbars because i want to save as much of the height as possible. Yakima web site says 84x62 is unverified, Im assuming because of the width. Do you know if the 84x62 will fit mounting directly to the towers? Thanks

You will be able to mount the Yakima LockNLoad Platform 84" Long x 62" Wide # Y05049 directly to your factory tracks on your 2017 Mercedes Sprinter 2500 given that your tracks are spaced close enough together to accommodate for the 62" width of the platform. I confirmed with Yakima that your tracks need to be between 39” - 50.5" apart in order to accommodate the towers. I went ahead and attached a diagram that shows this measurement. I recommend measuring your track spread in order to make sure they fit within these requirements.

In addition to the platform, you need the following parts to make it work:

- Yakima SkyLine Towers # Y53TR
- SL Adapters # Y03541
- 2 Sets of the Landing Pad 1 # Y00221

With all of these components, you will be able to install the LockNLoad directly onto the SkyLine Towers to mount on your tracks.
