Do the Stability Plus or RAS Leaf Spring Helpers for a 2021 Ford F-150 Worsen Unloaded Ride Quality

Question:

I have a 2021 F-150 and tow a 5,500lbs., 25ft. travel trailer using a Blue Ox Swaypro about 10 trips/year. Otherwise, loads in the bed exceeding 750 ibs. only happen a few times per year. Looking to enhance rear suspension to reduce porpoising and roll, but dont want to sacrifice unloaded ride quality. Would you recommend this or the Roadmaster Active suspension for this purpose? Alternatively, would you throw Timbrens or Sumo Springs into the mix? Thanks.

I do have an option for you but if unloaded ride quality is the main concern then there is really no better option than airbags since you can release the pressure from them very easily while not towing or hauling for a complete factory unloaded ride. They are also the best for loaded ride quality since you can adjust them to the exact load you have at the time which makes for the best mix between support and comfort. I recommend the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs part # F2582.

The RAS and Stability Plus leaf spring helpers are both great but they will affect unloaded ride quality unless removed or the tension is completely removed and they really aren't designed for this.
