In a 4-pole flat wishbone harness such as Optronics # A20WB there will be dual running light wires. These running light wires will often be solid brown or brown-with-yellow-stripe and brown-with-green-stripe. It does not actually matter which running light wire goes to which side of the trailer lighting since the signals carried on each are the same, but for convenience and clarity the manufacturer uses the color code convention of yellow stripe for left and green stripe for right (passenger) side.
