Installing T-One Connector # 118496 to Provide Trailer Wiring Harness on 2005 Toyota Tacoma
Question:
I bought the kit to just plug in to .the harness on my truck runs straight down the frame and then splits to both side of rear lights with no disconnects to unplug and use kit. There is a group of wires that run along the rear between tail light but no disconnect?

Expert Reply:
The # 118496 will plug inline with the vehicle wiring harnesses feeding each tail light assembly. The factory harness will need to be unplugged directly behind each taillight assembly, and the T-One connector plugged inline. You will need to remove each taillight assembly as if you were changing a burned out bulb. You can see the procedure in the installation instructions or the install video I have linked you to.
