Adapter to Fit Thule 725 Ski Rack to Thule Aeroblade Crossbars

Question:

I have four square bolts and nuts 22mm that should work to secure rack to bars. However the rack has plastic spacers making the bolts too short. If I were to remove the plastic spacer they are too long. Any suggestions?

For attaching a Thule 725 ski rack to a set of Thule Aeroblade crossbars the adapter you'd need is the part # Xadapt2 which we have confirmed with Thule. This is only solution we can guarantee will work.

Instead of part #THXADAPT12, you'll need part #Xadapt2, which will add channel-mount parts to your carriers and allow it to flush mount on your Thule Aero Bars.

The bolts of the #Xadapt2 that you mentioned are M6. For a low profile Thule M6 knob we have the part #753-0783.

The Thule Flat Top 724 Ski Rack will fit a cross bar up to 3-3/4" wide and 1-1/8" tall with the Mounting Kit #7533998. If your factory cross bars on your 2017 BMW 328 are taller than 1-1/8" you will need the Thule Xadapt7 #THXADAPT7.
