Replacement Disc Brake Kit Recommendation for 3,500 lb Axle with #84 Spindles

Question:

The spindle is unusal as it has a couple of raised ridges between the inner and outer seals. I’ve attached pictures to ensure that I get the right seals. Please provide the right beating and hub combination. A full pair kit with calipers preferred.

Thank you for all of the photos and information!

From what I can see it looks like you have a #84 spindle but that inner bearing blew out so you should be able to remove that inner sleeve that looks like it's still on the spindle (next to where the grease seal rides). Try using a hammer and flat head screwdriver to gently tap on that ring to see if it slides off the spindle without damaging anything. If you can get it off and your spindles look clean and don't have any damaged then it's a simple matter of just replacing the brake kit and for that I recommend this from DeeMaxx:

- DeeMaxx Disc Brake Kit - 10" Hub/Rotor - 5 on 4-1/2 - Maxx Coat/Stainless # DE46YR

This kit comes with the hub/rotor as well as the caliper and the bearings/seal needed to et everything installed.

If your spindle looks to be scratched or damaged then we either need to have it cut off and have a new one, part # TRU47FR, welded on, or we need to get you a whole new axle assembly and for that I'll need you to measure the spring-seat and hub-face dimensions of your current axle.

I've attached an installation video of the DeeMaxx brake kit as well as a video showing how to measure for a replacement axle for you to check out!
