I bought the MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan - Manual Lift - 4 Speed - Smoke Item # MA00-06401K It has the beep/greenlight/shutoff problem that many people have experienced. I was wondering what you advise? New circuit board and a DC to DC voltage regulator? Advice needed - thanks!

It would be time for a new circuit board for your # MA00-06401K with the part # MA10-04301K-V16. You would not need a voltage regulator.

The 900 CFM fan of the MaxxAir MaxxFan #MA00-04500K that you referenced needs to be attached to at least a 5 amp circuit. So it's max draw would be 5 amps.

You can use an RJ11 cable with the #MA59FR but some of the functions might not work properly. We've found that sometimes some of the functions will work backwards. What your best option would be is the communication cable part #MA69FR.

Since there isn't a way to upgrade your current roof vent to a version with a powered lift you'd have to go with an all new MaxxFan roof vent that has that feature like with the part #MA00-07500K instead.
