Expert Reply:

When it comes to switching your 205/75/R15 tires to a 225/75/R15 tire it all depends on the height of the tire.

For example, The Provider ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range D # TR20515D fits 15 inch x 5 inch, 15 inch x 5-1/2 inch, 15 inch x 6 inch, and 15 inch x 6-1/2 inch wheels.

The Karrier ST225/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range D # AM10256 fits 15 inch x 6 inch, 15 inch x 6-1/2 inch, and 15 inch x 7 inch wheels.

The 225/75/R15 tire will be 1.1 inches larger in diameter and 0.8 inches wider than the 205/75/R15 so you would just need to make sure you have the extra space for the slightly larger tire to fit.

The width of a trailer wheel is measured from the inner edge of a bead to the inner edge of the other bead. If you take this measurement it should be 5 inches on your wheel.
