Determining The Correct Replacement Landing Gear For A 2010 Keystone Montana

Question:

My measurements are 19 5/8inch between welded stops, I think 34inch lift, and the camper weighs 9500#. Do these numbers look standard?

Expert Reply:

Absolutely, and thank you for your measurements.

For your 2010 Keystone Outback 285FL, the closest we have is the Stromberg Carlson Electric Landing Gear Set # LG-4.

The distance between the weld stops on # LG-4 is 19-1/2" which is 1/8" shorter than what you measured, I would double check that the measurement you measured is accurate to ensure these will work. Also, you will need to verify that the outside to outside measurement is 21-1/2".

This landing gear has a total lift of 34-7/8", with 19-7/8" of travel, and is capable of supporting a combined weight capacity of 6,500lbs.

Since the landing gear isn't designed to support the entire GVWR of your trailer, you should be just fine.

If everything checks out, you can use # LG-177201 for the follow leg, and # LG-177202 for the lead leg.
