Correct Replacement Bearing Kit For 2019 Forest River Salem FSX 179DBK
Question:
Hello, we have a 2019 Forest River Salem FSX 179DBK Travel trailer that has a single axle. When I look up the bearing on your site, I get this: 29749. The description says it is for a 3000lb axle. Our trailers dry weight is 3273, so the axle rating is probably higher than 3000lbs although I am having trouble figuring out what the axle rating actually is.

You're correct; we do have a bearing kit for your 2019 Forest River Salem FSX travel trailer, which as you mentioned has a dry weight of 3,273 lbs and a GVWR (total max weight) of 3,980 lbs with a 3,500 lb axle. The GVWR is often higher than the axle rating because some of the trailer's weight is transferred as tongue weight. So the correct bearing kit for your trailer is the following:
- Hub Bearing Kit for Lippert, Dexter, and Al-Ko Axles - 3,500 lb with #84 Spindle # BK2-100
The # BK2-100 is for 3,500 lb axles and uses inner bearing # L68149 and outer bearing # L44649.
