Coghlan's Sierra Saw - 7" Blade

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this Coghlan's Sierra Saw with a seven inch blade. Now, this Sierra Saw is an excellent cutting tool to use while camping, fishing, hunting, and gardening. The blade itself is a nice high carbon tool steel, and the blade is thinner at the top and thicker at the teeth to ensure clog free sawing and a nice smooth finish cut. It is a serrated blade, you can see here, never needs to be sharpened, and it's a tempered flexible steel blade that'll cut smooth every time. Basically, when you saw with this, the blade will cut on the pull stroke, you do not wanna force it on the push stroke.

Right up here, it has a one touch lock system that if you raise it up, it'll lock it into place, push it down, and it locks the blade in the open position, and you can use it, and then when you're done using it, just lift up on that, release the blade, and you can close the blade into the handle for a nice safe storage when it's not in use. Now, we'll open this up again, and lock it into place. The blade length, we put a ruler on just the blade, it's gonna be right at seven inches long. The overall length, from one end to the tip of the blade, is right at 16 inches long. And then folded length, we unlock it, release the blade, close it up, is gonna be right at about 9 1/2 inches in the folded position.

Total weight on this unit is only about 5 1/2 ounces, but again, you can just open your blade like that, raise up on it, lock it into place, and you're ready to go. And then when you're done, just flip open the lock, release it, and you can close it into the handle. But that should do it for the review on the Coghlan's Sierra Saw with the seven inch blade..
