Swing Away For Carrying 2 Lectric E-Bikes With Hollywood Racks Sport Rider Bike Rack
Question:
We have two step thru Lectric E bikes and a sprinter 3500 class B RV. We need a swing away E bikes that allow us to access the rear doors and strong enough to carry two Lectric E bikes 64lbs with battery, 57lbs without battery/ each. Weve been thinking about the RockyMounts Backstage swing away, but skeptical about the weight limit too close and the plastic safety latch review comments weve heard. We the spacing between the Van and the bikes rack. not sticking too far out. Weve also been thinking about the Hollywood Racks Sport limited to 80lbs and one of the swing away rack, but sure which one fit best and not stick out too far. And because of the step thru we probably extra hardware to hold the bike on the Hollywood rack. What do you recommend? Look forward hearing from your team

The Yakima BackSwing Swing Away Hitch Extender # Y02483 will allow you to carry the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack # HLY84FR on the back of your 2017 Mercedes Sprinter 3500 Class B RV. The BackSwing is capable of supporting up to 250lbs of rack and bike weight. The Sport Rider is only 63lbs with your two 64lb bikes you are well below the capacity at only 191lbs
You will need the Yakima Tube Top Bike Adapter Bar # Y02531 to properly secure your Lectric E bike on the Sport Rider rack since it is a step through bike.
