Best Replacement For Atwood GC6AA-8E Water Heater For RV
Question:
Thanks for the quick response and recommendation, but I need a water heater that runs off 110v since this RV does not run down the road. It's stationary and i believe the tankless is only gas. cheaper for me to run it off 110v. Please let me know and if you can recommend one that is 110v and if it needs to be with a tank that is fine. Thanks

To replace your Atwood GC6AA-8E, by far the best option is a tankless water heater, and the one with the most similar dimensions is from Furrion:
- Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater # FR93FR
The # FR93FR measures 12-5/8" wide x 12-5/8" tall x 19-1/4" deep, which is very close to the 12-1/2" tall x 16" wide x 18" deep the Atwood, so you'll just need to ensure you have the added room for the new heater. Going with a tankless water heater is something that you'll never regret doing, because it gives you hot water immediately and is far, far more energy efficient because it only uses energy when turning on the faucet instead of continual power use to keep water hot.
The other thing you will need is the access door, which does come separate because they are available in different sizes, but the best option for a replacement is the Replacement Access Door for Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater - 18" wide x 16" tall # FR63FR or 18" x 18" # FR73FR.
