Compatability of Hitch Locks With Draw-Tite Class 3 Hitch On My 2006 Honda Pilot EX
Question:
My car is a 2006 Honda Pilot ex. I purchased a Class 3 Hitch, but I forgot the model. When the bike rack is ed in the hitch the nut that came with the bike rack that secures the rack to the hitch will not fit in the first hole of the receiver. The lock attaches to the nut and you lock the lock in place over the nut. Will 2866dat fit in the first hole of the hitch sold to me in May.

I checked our records and you purchased the Draw-Tite Class III Max-Frame Trailer Hitch, item # 75599. Either of the hitch locks that you have selected, # 2866DAT and # 1480DAT will work with your 2 inch receiver hitch, in the second hole.
The first hole in the receiver of your hitch is designed for a J-Pin Stabilization Pin and Barrel Lockset for 2" Trailer Hitches, and is not designed as the attachment point for the bike rack hitch pin. You will need to install the bike rack hitch pin in the larger hole just behind the J-Pin hole. The smaller hole is no longer used since the J-Pin is no longer available.
If your bike rack has an anti-rattle hitch pin then the hitch locks you have mentioned will not fit when you are using the bike rack.
