Recommended Shock Absorbing Shank For A Husky Centerline Weight Distribution Hitch

Question:

Can the Shocker XRC Cushioned Adjustable Ball Mount help with bounce caused by harmonics? By harmonics, I am referring to the up/down motion from the rear TV axles and the up/down motion of the tandem axles of the TT crossing the same bump typically concrete expansion joints. Can this be used with a WDH? If so, would there be a significant benefit to use this with a WDH? Is there an alternative option to the Shocker XRC? TV = 2021 F150 4x4 Crew Cab, Sport w/tow package TT = 2022 Winnebago Micro Mini 2108FBS WDH = Husky Centerline 400 - 600 lbs

Expert Reply:

Your Husky Centerline WDH isn't going to be compatible with the Shocker XRC Cushioned Adjustable Drop Ball Mount # SHK22ZR because it needs a solid shank to mount to.

You would the Gen-Y Torsion 2-Ball Mount w/ Stacked Receivers # 325-GH-1024, which would allow you to insert the shank of your Husky Centerline WDH into the stacked receivers. The shock-absorbing design ensures a smooth, steady ride by functioning like a torsion axle to limit transfer of road shock from trailer to vehicle and vice versa. It has a rise or drop of up to 5" to ensure your 2022 Winnebago Micro Mini 2108FBS is level while towing.
