Would the Ford Replacement 7-Way Harness # 118243 fit a 2000 Ford F-250 with Harness
Question:
Hi, I believe my truck originally had a factory 4 way but it is not hooked up right now. I do have the wiring harness plug that this unit would fit into. Would this till work? Is there a problem with buying a normal 7way and splicing it? Or would I still need the fuses when splicing? Thanks

The Ford Replacement OEM Tow Package Wiring Harness # 118243 that you referenced is designed to work as a replacement for vehicles that came with a factory harness. So if you had a trailer wiring harness on there at one point and it got damaged you could simply just plug in the # 118243 and you would be ready to go. If your vehicle did come originally with a 4-way you would just need to install the two included fuses and it would be fully functional.
This route would be much easier than hardwiring a 7-way in after a 4-way.
I attached an install video for this product for you to check out also.
