Replacement 7-Way Trailer Connector for 2001 Ford F250

Question:

2001 Ford F-250 Superduty I currently have a wiring harness mess of patched wires and corrosion. I need to replace some wiring! lets work backwards from the hitch area. I have a 4 flat and a seven round with a round plug that goes into the vehicle harness. It has a about 7 wires into a grey connector with a black outter ring. looks like 2 yellow, a brown, a green, a blue a white and either a large black or brown. This then continues to the next connector which is grey in color and appears to be square/rectangle in shape. There is a black cap on the non truck side of this connection that has an orange a green, a brown, a yellow a blue a grey and a second green colored wires. I need to replace from the rectangle grey connector on back. The clip on the non truck side of this connector is bad as well as at least 2 broken wires in this plug. CAN YOU HELP?????? I have a plug and play electric brake controller in the cab that I added. Thank you,

Since you're needing everything from the rectangular connector back, we have exactly what you're looking for. You'll need the Tow Ready # 118243. Once you unplug the existing gray plug, this connector assembly will take its place. I've also linked you to an install video. You'd then use an adapter like # PK12716 if you needed to tow a trailer that had a 4 pole trailer connector.
