Difference Between The B&W Companion And Gooseneck Hitch For 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 Short Bed

Question:

I have a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 with the OEM prep package. I am looking at 5th wheel hitches or a gooseneck hitch, what is the difference?

The difference between having a B&W Companion and the B&W Gooseneck is how your trailer will be towed. If you have the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch w/ Slider for Chevy/GMC Towing Prep Package - Dual Jaw - 20K, part # BWRVK3775, your 5th wheel trailer will be using a pin box. Because you will be using the pucks from the OEM prep package, it is easy to remove this 5th wheel hitch when you are not towing the trailer. The B&W Companion slides back 12" when in use to make it easier for sharp turns.

The B&W Ball and Safety Chain Kit for Ford, GM, and Nissan Titan Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch, part # BWGNXA2061, is designed to work with a 5th wheel trailer that attaches via a hitch ball in the truck bed. Even when you are towing a trailer, there is an opportunity to carry items in your truck bed. You will use a gooseneck pin box, It is designed to work with a gooseneck ball.

I have included product description links, video installation links, and video demo links below.
