What are the Proper Torque Specs For TruRyde Curved Equalizer # EQ-356

Question:

I read where you recommend 70 ft/lbs torque for bolts in equalizer. I just purchased the parts from you and want to install correctly. Do the nuts bottom out on the threads to meet the torque spec? Otherwise, the bolt would squeeze the side plates tight to the equalizer.

When installing an equalizer such as TruRyde # TREQ356, there is not a specific torque rating that adheres for suspension bolts. The rule is to tighten to snug while allowing minimal movement. The locking nuts are a one time use piece. Ideally, you should see 2 bolt threads when you have completed tightening the equalizer bolts.

I have attached a short video where the equalizer is replaced on a trailer.
